Googlebot IP Validator - Is this Googlebot?

Last Modified: March 12, 2025

How does the Google IP verification work?

My Googlebot IP Checker validates an IP address using a two-step verification process based on Google's official guidelines. First, it fetches the latest list of Google’s IPv4 and IPv6 address ranges from their official gstatic JSON source and 3 more sources. Then, when a user enters an IP, the tool checks whether it falls within any of these predefined CIDR blocks using a subnet matching function. If the IP is found within Google's published ranges, it is confirmed as a Googlebot IP; otherwise, it is not. This method ensures accuracy by relying on Google’s dynamically updated IP list, rather than outdated static records.
